Do you think you sound great when you sing in the shower? Well, now you can find out how wrong you are. Aloft Hotels announced the installation of check-in equipment in the showers of several of its hotels.
Guests staying at Aloft hotels in London, Brussels, Munich and Kiev will be able to access these “shower studios”. In them, in addition to washing, you will be able to sing, record yourself, read the results and then share them.
“Showers are synonymous with singing,” yells John License, vice president of Premium & Select brands at Aloft’s parent company, Marriott International Europe. “So we put a fun twist on that by launching these voice recording booths using innovative technology to encourage even more up-and-coming superstars to take their vocal talent out of the showers and in the spotlight.”
If you think what you did in the studio shower was really awesome, you can enter your song into the Project: Aloft Star Talent Contest, which all of this is designed to promote.
This global talent search – conducted in partnership with Universal Music – also accepts recordings without a shower. These will likely have an advantage given the lack of running water noises. Unless the jury – which includes singer-songwriter JP Cooper – was specifically chosen because they prefer to sing along with bathroom noises. In any case, the winner will release a single via a Universal label.
“Having made this trip myself, I’m so excited to be able to help shine a light on the next generation of musical talent,” Cooper said. “As Aloft Star Artist Ambassador and Chief Judge for Europe, I look forward to discovering the emerging artists who will have the chance to be noticed throughout the competition and to have this important chance. to record and digitally release their single, a deal that will change that person’s life ”.
Well, let’s not get carried away, JP. If you want more information on this, which I guess is possible, click here.
